I started dancing in my grandparents house, at kindergarten celebrations and in community centers, despite the inflation, grayness and uncertainties of late 90’ in Serbia (or because of it?) I was trained in ballet in Belgrade and Munich, after receiving a scholarship at the Ballett Akademie Die Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. I was a member of the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich and after summers filled with courses and workshops with teachers from Rosas and Ultima Vez, moved to Nuremberg Ballet, and later to Hessisches Staatsballett, where I performed works by Damien Jalet, Sharon Eyal, Hofesh Sechter, Willi Dorner, Xie Xin and William Forsythe, amongst others.
I'm freelancing as a performer, teacher and choreographer since 2023.
My choreography was performed on stages in Nuremberg, Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Belgrade, and Victoria, as well as in a gallery spaces (such as Kunst Haus and Bellvue Saal in Wiesbaden)
I believe that creation is always relational—a collective act of discovery where the outcome remains unknown, offering above all, an opportunity to wonder. Previously I created in collaboration with Sara Stevanovic, Jorge Moro, Meilyn Kennedy, Manon Andral, Lena Kunz, Kerem Ozan Baryaktar. I'm endlessly thankful for their artistry and friendship.
Alongside beautiful entanglement with dance field, I teach art summer workshop for teenagers together with artist Nadja Kracunovic. We are interested in emerging pedagogies and non-institutional art education.
l hold BA degree in journalism and media studies at FMK Belgrade. I'm a MA candidate in New Performance Practices at the Stockholm University of the Arts.
